Eglė Kačkutė-Hagan PhD is a literary critic, researcher, publicist. She is the author of “Svetimos ir Savos” (Strange and Familiar), published in 2012, a book on women’s identities in contemporary British and French women’s writing. She is interested in texts by women, women’s lives, gender studies, theory of feminism, mobility, and migration. Since 2013 she has been looking into experiences of migrant mothers in literature and life. Eglė has been with Maynooth University, Ireland, for four years. She teaches French and Francophone literature at Vilnius University. The exhibition of Marina Cavazza’s photos and Eglė’s texts “Portrait of a (Working) Mother” was hosted by the United Nations Office at Geneva and the World Trade Organisation in Geneva. The book under the same title was published by the Swiss publishing house Georg in 2019.
