Eglė Kačkutė – literary critic, researcher, essay writer, author of the 2012 Lithuanian language monograph on identities in contemporary British and French women‘s writing, Strange and Familiar Selves. She is interested in women’s texts and lives, gender studies, feminist theory, mobility and migration. Since 2013 she has been studying migrant mothers’ experience in literature and in life. Eglė spent the last two years at Maynooth University (Ireland) and is now teaching French and Francophone literature at Vilnius University. The exhibition “Portrait of a (Working) Mother“ featuring her texts and Marinca Cavazza’s photographs has been held at the United Nations Office in Geneva at Palais des Nations and the World Trade Organization in Geneva.
